Ride to the Polls is for New Hampshire voters who need transportation to their assigned polling place on Election Day. The service is designed with voters 55 and over in mind, but it is available to all voters.

You may need help because you do not drive, do not have access to a vehicle, or cannot arrange a ride with family or friends. Public transportation and rideshare service can also be limited in parts of New Hampshire.

A spouse, relative, caregiver, friend, or neighbor may help another voter make the request. The voter should know that transportation is being arranged, and the request should contain the voter’s correct information.

Ride to the Polls needs practical details such as the voter’s name, age, telephone number, pickup address, and polling place. The request does not ask which candidate the voter supports or how the voter plans to vote.

Can You Request a Ride From Anywhere in New Hampshire?

Ride to the Polls serves polling places across New Hampshire. Transportation may work differently depending on the voter’s age, location, and local rideshare availability.

Longer routes and rural pickups may require more planning. Include a complete address and useful pickup directions when submitting the request.

Can You Request a Ride for Someone Else?

You can help a parent, spouse, relative, or neighbor request transportation. Provide a reliable telephone number and make it clear whether dispatch should contact the voter or the person coordinating the ride.

The voter does not need to complete the process alone. However, the request must use the name, age, pickup address, and polling place of the person who needs transportation.

Who Can Use Ride to the Polls in New Hampshire?

Which Ride to the Polls Option Will You Receive?

– Call Now: 833-603-8683 or submit the form at tpaction.com/ride with your name, phone, pickup address, and polling place.

– Dispatch confirms your ride and your track (private driver or Uber voucher), along with your polling location and its hours.

– On Election Day, you get your driver’s name and vehicle, or your voucher.

How to request your ride

Gather your information before calling or opening the request form. Accurate details help dispatch review the trip and contact you if anything needs clarification.

Your Name, Age, and Telephone Number

Provide the voter’s full name and age. The age determines which Ride to the Polls track applies.

Use a telephone number that will be available before and on Election Day. If someone else is coordinating the ride, explain whose number you’re providing.

Your Complete Pickup Address

Include the full street address and any apartment, unit, building, or entrance number.

If the property is difficult to locate, add a nearby landmark, intersection, building name, or agreed meeting point. Rural addresses may need extra directions if road signs or online maps are unclear.

Your Assigned Polling Place

Check your official polling place before requesting transportation.

Use the official New Hampshire voter lookup and copy the complete polling-place name and address into the request. You can also review the New Hampshire polling-place guide.

Ride to the Polls provides transportation to the destination in the confirmed request. It does not assign polling places. Not sure where you vote? Our team will find your polling location and share its hours when confirming your ride. Check the official page again before Election Day and contact dispatch if the destination changes.

Your Preferred Pickup Time

Tell dispatch when you would like to be picked up. The time requested may not be the final pickup time, so review the confirmed arrangement carefully.

Allow time for travel and the visit to the polling place. Contact dispatch if your schedule changes.

Your Return Transportation Request

Ask about transportation home when making the original request. Don’t wait until the polling-place visit is complete to mention that you need a return trip.

Dispatch explains how the return arrangement works. Follow the instructions provided for the private-driver or Uber voucher track.

What Should You Have Ready Before Requesting a Ride?

Yes. Both Ride to the Polls tracks are free for eligible New Hampshire voters.

Voters 55 and over receive a ride with a trained private driver. Voters under 55 receive an Uber voucher. Dispatch confirms the applicable track after reviewing the request.

Use the official Ride to the Polls contact information if someone unexpectedly asks you to pay for the service. Do not share payment details with anyone whose connection to the program has not been verified.

Is Ride to the Polls Free?

Request transportation as soon as you know you need it.

Early requests give dispatch more time to review the pickup address, confirm the destination, plan the route, and identify the correct service track. Rural locations and longer routes may take additional time to coordinate.

What Happens After You Submit the Request?

A submitted form begins the process. Treat the transportation as scheduled only after dispatch confirms it.

Watch for a telephone call, text, or other contact using the information provided in the request. Respond promptly if dispatch needs clarification.

When confirmation arrives, check:

The voter’s name

The pickup address

The polling-place destination

The service track

The pickup information

The return arrangement

The Election Day instructions

Report any incorrect detail before Election Day.

What If Your Information Changes?

Contact dispatch if your pickup address, telephone number, polling place, or schedule changes. You may need to review an arrangement created for one address or destination before updating it.

How Should You Prepare for Pickup?

If you no longer need the ride, notify dispatch as soon as possible.

Before Election Day:

– Check your official polling place again.

– Review the confirmation.

– Keep your telephone charged and available.

– Be ready at the agreed pickup point.

– Bring your personal belongings with you.

– Follow the driver or voucher instructions.

– Keep the dispatch contact information available.

– Review the return transportation plan.
