The service is completely free and available to all voters, with special focus on voters 55 and over. The voter signs up once, and the Ride to the Polls team handles the transportation details, finds the voter’s polling location, and provides the relevant polling hours. For voters 55 and over, the white-glove experience includes black car pickup and removes much of the hassle and uncertainty of getting to the polls.

What can one call arrange for a Litchfield voter?

Begin with the correct Litchfield polling destination

Litchfield requests are normally placed into one of two service tracks.

For a voter who is 55 or older

The standard arrangement is a free ride with a trained private driver. Dispatch confirms the pickup information, and the Election Day message provides the driver and vehicle details.

For a voter who is under 55

The standard arrangement is a free Uber voucher. The voter follows the supplied instructions to redeem the voucher and request the Election Day trips.

See Free Uber Vouchers to Vote in New Hampshire before Election Day.

The Private Driver or Uber Voucher guide provides a side-by-side explanation. Dispatch makes the final confirmation after reviewing the request.

Match the request to the voter’s age

Describe where the Litchfield trip begin

Call 833-603-8683 or submit Request Your Free Ride Online. Provide the information for the person who will take the ride:

– Full name

– Working telephone number

– Age

– Complete Litchfield pickup address

– Confirmed polling-place name and address

– Preferred pickup time

– Entrance or driveway instructions

– Mobility equipment or communication needs

– Companion information

– Request for transportation home

Submitting the form starts the review. It does not reserve a driver, vehicle, voucher, or pickup time by itself.

Avoid sending a second form for the same person unless dispatch requests it. If something changes, call and update the existing request.

Send one complete transportation request

A relative, spouse, caregiver, friend, or neighbor may coordinate transportation for a Litchfield voter. The voter should know about the request before it is submitted.

Tell dispatch whether confirmation should go to the voter, the person coordinating the trip, or both. Whoever receives the information must make sure the rider knows the pickup window, destination, transportation type, and return instructions.

The complete process is explained in How to Book a Ride for a Parent, Spouse, or Neighbor.

When another person handles the booking

When dispatch responds, compare the confirmation with the information submitted. Check the spelling of the rider’s name, the pickup address, the polling destination, and the contact number.

The confirmation should also explain:

Whether the request uses a private driver or Uber voucher

The approved pickup time or arrival window

How Election Day information will be delivered

How transportation home will work

What number to call if the schedule changes

Private-driver riders should compare the arriving driver’s first name and vehicle with the confirmed information before entering. Uber riders should review the driver and vehicle displayed for the trip.

Read the confirmation as a trip record

Request both directions when arranging transportation. Do not wait until voting is finished to ask whether a return trip is included.

A private-driver confirmation will explain the meeting process after voting. An Uber voucher will include instructions for using the approved return transportation.

If a line at the polling place changes the expected timing, contact dispatch. The Election Day Ride Timeline explains how to report a delay, cancellation, or different pickup plan.

Keep the trip home in the same plan

Use the official state lookup again shortly before November 3. If the destination changes, give dispatch the corrected address and wait for an updated confirmation.

You can also make a plan to vote and review Register to Vote. Ride to the Polls handles transportation, while official election authorities provide voting and polling-place information.
