Londonderry is a large, spread-out town between Manchester and Derry. The town includes residential neighborhoods near its center, wooded properties in the southern and eastern areas, apartment communities, senior residences, and homes close to Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.

Londonderry has historically used Londonderry High School as its central Election Day polling location:

– Dispatch confirms your ride and your track (private driver or Uber voucher), along with your polling location and its hours.

– On Election Day, you get your driver’s name and vehicle, or your voucher.

Before calling, have the following information ready:

– Your full name

– Your phone number

– Your Londonderry pickup address

– Your polling place from the official state lookup

– Your preferred pickup time

– Your age group

– Whether you need transportation home

– Whether another voter at your address also needs a ride

– Any pickup instructions that will help the driver find you

Dispatch will provide the timing information available for your confirmed request. If your address, polling place, or availability changes, contact dispatch with the corrected information.

How to request your ride

Londonderry covers more than 40 square miles. A ride from a neighborhood near the town center may be short, while a pickup near the Litchfield, Hudson, Windham, Auburn, or Derry town line can require more travel time.

Clear pickup information is especially important in a town with long roads, large lots, and properties set back from the street.

Pickup notes for Londonderry

Londonderry sits near Interstate 93 and several busy regional routes. Traffic may be affected by commuters traveling toward Manchester, Derry, Nashua, or Massachusetts, along with activity around the airport and school campus.

Voters who are 55 or older receive a free door-to-door Black car service ride with a trained private driver. The driver picks you up at the confirmed location, takes you to your polling place, and provides the return ride home.

This option does not require the Uber app or a smartphone. You can call dispatch and receive your ride information by phone.

The private-driver track may be helpful if you:

Voters under 55 receive a free Uber voucher for transportation to and from their assigned polling place.

Both transportation tracks include the ride home. Confirm the return portion when submitting your request.

If you have a private driver, follow the return instructions supplied with your confirmation. If you have an Uber voucher, follow the instructions for using it on the return trip.

At a large school campus, the return pickup area may not be directly outside the door where you entered. Look for passenger pickup signs and follow instructions from staff at the location.

If voting takes longer than expected, use the contact method provided with your ride information. Do not walk away from the polling property to search for the vehicle unless dispatch or the driver gives you a different meeting location.

Getting home after voting

Call dispatch if you do not use the internet or do not have a smartphone. Voters 55 and over use the private-driver track and do not need an app.

A family member, spouse, caregiver, or neighbor may help submit the request with the voter’s knowledge.
