Salem uses four voting districts. In August 2026, the Town of Salem announced that its voting districts and polling locations had changed and advised residents to confirm their assigned location before traveling to vote.

For the September 8, 2026, state primary, the town published these four locations:

– Call Now: 833-603-8683 or submit the form at tpaction.com/ride with your name, phone, pickup address, and polling place.

– Dispatch confirms your ride and your track (private driver or Uber voucher), along with your polling location and its hours.

– On Election Day, you get your driver’s name and vehicle, or your voucher.

Before calling or opening the form, use the official state lookup to confirm your polling location. Having the correct address ready helps dispatch process the request without needing to contact you again for missing information.

You should be prepared to provide:

– Your full name

– Your phone number

– Your Salem pickup address

– Your officially assigned polling place

– Your preferred pickup time

– Your age group

– Any information dispatch asks for about the trip

– Whether another person at your address also needs transportation

Dispatch will provide the pickup information for a confirmed ride. The exact timing depends on the requests being coordinated across Salem and the transportation available for your track.

How to request your ride

Salem is compact compared with many New Hampshire communities, but Election Day travel can still look very different from one neighborhood to another. A pickup near the town center is not the same as a pickup along a wooded road in North Salem or near one of the town’s busy commercial corridors.

Giving dispatch a complete and practical pickup description can prevent confusion.

Pickup notes for Salem

Salem sits at the intersection of several heavily traveled routes, including Interstate 93, Route 28, Route 38, and Route 111. Local traffic is also affected by the Mall at Rockingham Park, Tuscan Village, schools, and businesses along South Broadway.

Election Day traffic may be heavier around commuting periods and school arrival or dismissal. Leave room in your schedule for:

Planning for Salem traffic

Salem voters who are 55 or older receive a free door-to-door Black car service ride with a trained private driver. The trip includes transportation from the confirmed pickup point to the assigned polling place and transportation home after voting.

This track does not require a smartphone or the Uber app. You can call dispatch, provide the necessary information, and receive your confirmation by phone.

A private-driver ride may be helpful if you:

Door-to-door rides for Salem voters 55 and over

Voters under 55 receive a free Uber voucher. Request the voucher through Ride to the Polls, apply it in the Uber app, and use it for your trip to and from the assigned polling place.

Before November 3:

Uber vouchers for Salem voters under 55

Both transportation tracks include a trip home. Confirm your return transportation when making the request.

Private-driver riders should follow the pickup and return instructions supplied by dispatch. Uber-voucher riders should follow the voucher instructions for booking the return portion of the trip.

When you arrive at the polling place, notice where passenger pickups are taking place. School parking lots may use separate entrances, traffic lanes, or temporary drop-off points. Follow the signs and instructions present at the location.

If voting takes longer than you expected, use the contact information included with your ride confirmation. Do not leave the property to look for your driver unless you receive instructions to meet at another location.

Returning home after you vote

You can call dispatch if you do not use the internet or do not have a smartphone. Voters 55 and over use the private-driver track and do not need an app.

A family member, spouse, caregiver, or neighbor can help submit a request, but the voter should know that the ride is being arranged.
