The voter signs up once, and the Ride to the Polls team takes it from there. The team finds the voter’s polling location, provides the relevant polling hours, and coordinates a white-glove ride to the Community Center and back home, removing the hassle and uncertainty from Election Day transportation.

Your registration and your plan to vote deserve a quick look before you call. Both are covered below, along with pickup notes for the village, the lakes and Meredith’s back roads.

How Does One Meredith Call Connect Bay and Back Roads?

Meredith’s recent state elections have been held at the Meredith Community Center, 1 Circle Drive, Meredith, NH 03253, in Belknap County.

Check the official page before you book: confirm your November 3 polling place on the NH Secretary of State voter lookup or with the Meredith Town Clerk. If either shows a different location for you, that is the address to give dispatch.

Town Hall at 41 Main Street is where the Town Clerk works, but it is not where Meredith votes. Make sure your ride request names the Community Center.

The Community Center is a town recreation building, so on Election Day its layout may be set up differently from a normal visit. Follow the posted signs to the voting room once you arrive.

Age sets the ride. Meredith voters who are 55 or older are collected at home by a trained driver and brought to the Community Center.

Below 55, Meredith riders receive a free Uber voucher covering the trip. Booking a few days before November 3 gives dispatch time to arrange it.

If voters on both sides of 55 live under one Meredith roof, a single call to 833-603-8683 can cover them all, and dispatch confirms each person’s ride.

Both rides are free; there is no fare for the driver and no cost for the voucher.

Your ride and your registration are handled separately. Ride to the Polls sorts out the transport, while Meredith’s Town Clerk and the state look after who is on the checklist.

Begin at Register to Vote for voter registration information and resources. The NH Secretary of State voter lookup then tells you whether you are registered and where you vote.

Locally, the Meredith Town Clerk at Town Hall, 41 Main Street, handles voter registration and election services, and the Supervisors of the Checklist keep the town’s voter list and hold sessions before elections.

If your voter record needs updating, a visit to the Town Clerk well before November 3 means the only thing left to arrange on Election Day is the ride itself.

Check your registration again if you moved to Meredith from Laconia, Center Harbor, New Hampton or elsewhere, turned a lake house into your year-round home, moved within town, or changed your name. New Hampshire sets the requirements, and the official page spells out what applies in your case.

Dispatch cannot look into your voter record, and a confirmed ride is not proof of registration. The Town Clerk or the Secretary of State can answer those questions.

Decide when you will vote, how you will get there and what you want to bring. Make a plan to vote and treat your booking as the travel part.

If work, school pickup or an appointment rules out part of November 3, say so when you book.

Keep your confirmation, the Circle Drive address and the dispatch number together, on your phone or by the door.

Meredith ride requests: phone, confirmation, pickup

Meredith Village sits on Meredith Bay at the northwest corner of Lake Winnipesaukee, and the town’s Community Plan treats the village as its own part of the road network, with its own congestion and access questions. If you live in or near the village, give your full street address and unit number. Shops, restaurants and the Mill Falls area make good landmarks for describing where you are, but the ride starts at your own door.

In summer the village fills with visitors, but by early November Main Street and the Route 3 and Route 25 junction are much quieter. Even so, a precise pickup point saves your driver from circling the block looking for a house number.

Homes on streets that climb up from the bay can be tricky to spot from the road. Say which door you will use and whether the driver should pull into a driveway.

Meredith Village, Main Street and Meredith Bay

Meredith’s transportation plan names Route 3 and Route 25 as major corridors, alongside Main Street. Route 104 also begins in Meredith and heads west toward New Hampton and Bristol.

If you live along one of these routes, give your house number and the nearest side road, not the name of a business. Homes on busy routes can sit back from the road, so tell dispatch where the car can pull in safely.

Routes 3, 25 and 104 around town

Away from the village, Meredith’s Community Plan recognizes rural and low-volume roads as a real part of the town’s road network. Homes around Lake Waukewan, Lake Wicwas and the Meredith Center area often sit on quieter lanes and shared drives.

For an outlying pickup, give your full physical address, the road you turn off and a landmark such as a mailbox, a gate or a sign. If your house is down a long driveway or among several buildings, describe where you will wait.

If you collect your mail at a post office box, give dispatch the street address where you actually live. Coverage for your address is confirmed when you book, so call early from an outlying road.

Someone who looks out for you, such as a relative, caregiver or neighbor, is free to book at 833-603-8683 on your behalf. They should give your name, phone number, Meredith pickup address and polling place, and let you know when the ride is confirmed.

A son in Concord booking for his mother near Lake Wicwas should give her street address, her lane directions and the number she answers.

Booking a ride for someone in Meredith

A few days ahead, make sure your confirmation shows the right pickup address and phone number, and reach dispatch through 833-603-8683 if anything is off.

Check the SOS lookup once more for your registration and polling place. Two short reads, why polling place information changes in New Hampshire and voting near me and local locations in New Hampshire, show why Meredith voters should not skip that final check.

When November 3 arrives, stand ready by the door on your booking. Fog off the bay and early November darkness can hide house numbers, so leave a light on outside.

If you no longer need your ride, let dispatch know so another Meredith voter can use the seat.
