The Monadnock Region fills much of southwestern New Hampshire. Keene is its main city, surrounded by smaller towns, village centers and long rural roads.

That range shapes the ride. A pickup in downtown Keene is a very different trip from one on a back road in Swanzey, Rindge, Peterborough or Jaffrey.

Three steps to a Monadnock ride

Keene, Swanzey and Rindge have their own local pages. For any other Monadnock town, call dispatch with your town, pickup address and polling place, and do not borrow another town’s pickup notes.

Monadnock towns by county

Regional planning documents name Peterborough, Jaffrey and Rindge as major communities along the US 202 South corridor. Voters in all three share a main road, but not a polling place.

For a Peterborough or Jaffrey booking, have ready:

Your street address and town

A phone you will answer

Your polling place, from the state lookup

A short meeting-point note if your property is hard to spot

Use the polling place for your own town, even if a neighboring town’s is more familiar.

The Southwest Region Planning Commission describes much of its area as rural, and its transportation work notes that some residents travel long distances for basic services. The booking steps stay the same, but an exact pickup address matters more.
