How to request your ride

Is the ride free?

Yes. Both Ride to the Polls tracks are completely free for eligible New Hampshire voters.
Who can request a ride?

A New Hampshire voter who needs transportation to an assigned polling place can submit a request. The service is designed with voters 55 and over in mind, but it is available to all voters. Another person may help using the voter’s correct information.
Which ride will I receive?

Voters 55 and over receive a private-driver ride. Voters under 55 receive an Uber voucher. Compare both in Private Driver or Uber Voucher: Which Ride to the Polls You Get in New Hampshire.

Can someone request a ride for me?

Yes. A family member, caregiver, friend, or neighbor can help submit the request. The voter should know about the arrangement, and the information must belong to the person receiving the ride.

Questions About Cost and Eligibility

How early should I request?

Request as soon as you know you need transportation. Early requests give dispatch more time to review the pickup address, destination, and service track.

What information should I have ready?

Prepare the voter’s name, age, telephone number, pickup address, official polling place, preferred pickup time, and return transportation needs. Add useful directions if the pickup is difficult to locate.

Do I need a smartphone?

The private-driver track does not require the Uber app. Voters using the Uber voucher track should follow the instructions supplied with the voucher.

How do I confirm my polling place?

Use the official New Hampshire voter lookup. Check the official result before submitting the ride request and again before Election Day. Not sure where you vote? Our team will find your polling location and share its hours when confirming your ride.

What happens after I submit the form?

Submitting the form begins the request process. Dispatch reviews the information and contacts the voter to confirm or request clarification. One call handles everything: you sign up, and our team takes it from there.

Questions About Making a Request

Can I get a ride home?

Ask about transportation home when making the original request. Dispatch explains the return arrangement for the private-driver or Uber voucher track.

Will the private driver wait while I vote?

Follow the return instructions dispatch provides. Do not assume that a driver will remain at the polling place unless the confirmed arrangement says so.

What if Uber service is limited where I live?

Provide your complete address and request early. Voters outside larger population centers can review Rides to the Polls in Rural New Hampshire.

Can another person travel with me?
