Ride to the Polls splits Sandown riders by age. At 55 or older, you are matched with a trained Black car service driver who collects you at your front door and brings you to your polling place.

Under 55, you receive a free Uber voucher for the trip. Sandown is a town of about 6,500 people rather than a city, so giving dispatch a few extra days before November 3 is the easiest way to make sure your voucher is ready.

Many Sandown households have riders on both tracks, such as a retired parent and an adult child still living at home. Name every rider when you call dispatch, and dispatch will tell each of you which ride you have.

Neither track costs you anything. The driver ride is free, and so is the voucher.

Driver or voucher: how the two tracks work in Sandown

Sandown is a single-polling-place town in Rockingham County, with no wards. Recent Sandown elections, including the September 8, 2026 state primary, were held at Sandown Town Hall, 320 Main Street, Sandown, NH 03873.

Check the official page before you book: confirm your November 3 polling place with the NH Secretary of State voter lookup and the Town of Sandown elections page. If either shows a different location, give dispatch that address instead of Town Hall. Not sure where you vote? Our team will find your polling location and share its hours when confirming your ride.

Sandown Town Hall on Main Street, Rockingham County

Town Hall at 320 Main Street also houses the Town Clerk’s office, and the Supervisors of the Checklist have held their sessions there. Many Sandown residents already know the building from registering a car or paying a tax bill.

That helps on Election Day. Your destination is a single, well-known address on the town’s main road, so you only need to give dispatch your pickup details. If you would like to be let off at a particular spot outside the building, mention it when you book.

Questions about your voter record belong with the Town Clerk and the Supervisors of the Checklist, not with dispatch. Ride to the Polls handles the ride only.

Call Now: 833-603-8683 or submit the form at tpaction.com/ride with your name, phone number, Sandown pickup address and polling place.

Dispatch confirms the ride and tells you your track: a private driver or an Uber voucher, along with your polling location and its hours.

On November 3 you receive your driver’s name and vehicle, or your voucher.

Booking a ride does not register you to vote. For registration, use Register to Vote or the Town of Sandown elections page, and check the official page for current rules.

Booking a Sandown ride in three steps

Route 121A is Sandown’s main road. It runs from Chester in the west through the town center, where it is known locally as Main Street, and on to East Hampstead in the southeast. Town Hall sits right on it, so homes along the 121A corridor have the most direct trip.

If you live near the center, give dispatch your full street address rather than “near Town Hall” or the name of a business or school. A house number and road name is what the driver navigates to.

Tell dispatch if your home has a shared driveway, more than one entrance or several units, and say exactly where you will be waiting.

NH Route 121 only clips the far southwest corner of Sandown, near Hoyt Hill, on its way from Chester to Hampstead. If your road connects to 121 rather than 121A, say so, because the quickest route to Town Hall may not be the obvious one.

Pickups along Route 121A and the town center

Sandown covers about 14 square miles. Homes around Phillips Pond south of the center, the smaller Showell Pond, Angle Pond in the southeast corner and Cub Pond on the eastern border often sit on small or private roads that are easy to miss.

If you live on one of these roads, add a landmark to your request: the road you turn off, a mailbox, or a sign at the end of the drive. The town’s 2026-2030 Road System Action Plan lists ongoing road work, so mention any detour you know about near your home.

If your mailing address is different from the place you will be picked up, give dispatch the physical address. Dispatch confirms coverage for your address when you book, so request early if you live toward the town line.

Pond roads and outlying Sandown addresses

The Sandown Old Meetinghouse, dating to the 1770s and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, stands on a hill on Fremont Road above the village center. If you live on Fremont Road or nearby, it is a landmark any driver can spot.

Sandown North Elementary School and Sandown Central School are also well-known local reference points. Use them to describe where your road is, not as a pickup spot, since the ride starts at your own address.

Sandown had 741 residents in 1970 and 6,548 in 2020, so many of its roads lead into neighborhoods built in the last few decades. If your street is a newer cul-de-sac or branches off another residential road, name the road you turn in from.

Landmarks a driver can use around the village

Before you call, jot down your house number and road, whether your road comes off Route 121A, and the name of the pond if you live on one. Add one landmark and the phone number you will actually answer that week.

If you checked the SOS lookup and your polling place is Town Hall, say so. If the lookup shows anything else, give dispatch that address instead.

What to tell dispatch about a Sandown address

Anyone can call dispatch on a voter’s behalf. Give the voter’s own pickup address, phone number and polling place, not yours, and let them know once dispatch confirms the ride. Book for Someone Else walks through the details.

This matters most when the voter lives in a different part of town from the person booking. A daughter on Main Street booking for a father near Angle Pond should give his road, his landmark and his phone number.

Booking for a parent, spouse or neighbor in Sandown

The week before, compare your confirmation with your pickup address and phone number, and call dispatch if anything has changed. Election Day covers what happens if a driver is delayed or plans change on the day.

On the morning itself, be ready at the entrance you described to dispatch. Early November mornings in Rockingham County can be dark and wet, so an outside light makes your house easier to spot from the road.

Polling places can move between elections, which is why it pays to run the SOS lookup one more time. Why polling place information changes in New Hampshire explains the reasons.
