The voter signs up once, and the Ride to the Polls team takes it from there. The team finds the voter’s New Hampshire polling location, provides the relevant polling hours, and coordinates a white-glove ride to the polls and back home, removing the hassle and uncertainty from Election Day transportation.

Rural pickups need more lead time, so the earlier you call, the better.

How Does One Call Simplify an Upper Valley Trip?

The Upper Valley straddles the Connecticut River, with communities on both the New Hampshire and Vermont banks. Lebanon describes the region as extending between the two states, and Dartmouth describes the river as the line that divides them.

Ride to the Polls in the Upper Valley serves New Hampshire voters. If you live on the New Hampshire side, use New Hampshire voter information to find your polling place, even if a Vermont town across the river is closer to your usual errands.

Check the official page before you book: look up your polling place on the New Hampshire Secretary of State Voter Information Lookup, then give dispatch the polling place name and full address it shows.

Call 833-603-8683 or use Request Your Free Ride Online with your name, phone number, New Hampshire pickup address and polling place.

Dispatch confirms your ride, your track (private driver or Uber voucher) and your pickup window.

When November 3 comes, your driver’s name and vehicle, or your voucher, is sent to you.

Give the full physical address where you will be waiting. On a rural road, in an apartment complex, a senior community or a condominium development, add enough detail for the driver to find your door.

Upper Valley towns in Grafton and Sullivan counties

Many New Hampshire residents cross into Vermont for work, shopping or appointments, so daily life here feels regional. Your voting information still comes from New Hampshire.

That matters most in Hanover and Lebanon, where the state line is a short drive away. Look up your polling place on the New Hampshire Secretary of State page, save the name and address, and give those to dispatch.

If your confirmed polling place differs from the destination on your booking, call 833-603-8683 before Election Day.

Crossing the Connecticut River every day, voting in New Hampshire

The region mixes small cities like Lebanon and Claremont with hill towns and long rural roads. “Upper Valley” alone is not an address, so give dispatch:

Your complete street address

Your New Hampshire town

A working phone number

Your confirmed polling place address

A clear meeting point if your property has several entrances

For a rural home, pick a waiting spot you can reach easily when the car arrives. For an apartment or multi-building property, name the building or entrance. For a senior community, say which entrance you will use.

If your pickup spot changes after confirmation, call 833-603-8683 instead of waiting somewhere new.

Pinpointing a rural Upper Valley pickup

Voters under 55 get a free Uber voucher where Uber operates. Where Uber does not operate for the trip, dispatch assigns a driver.

Uber coverage in Lebanon or Hanover does not mean the same coverage reaches every hill road in Grafton or Sullivan County. Your track depends on your actual trip.

You do not need to pick a track. Send your full pickup address and polling place, and dispatch will confirm whether you ride with an Uber voucher or a driver. Voters 55 and over always get a door-to-door ride with a trained driver.

When Uber runs and when a driver comes instead

An Upper Valley ride can be a short trip across central Lebanon or a long drive from a rural road in Orford or Cornish. No single travel time applies across the region.

That is why rural pickups need more lead time. Call early, give accurate addresses and wait for dispatch to confirm your pickup window, rather than estimating one yourself.

Why distance makes an early call worth it

If two neighbors both need rides, call 833-603-8683 and give each voter’s details. You can ask whether the pickups can be combined, but one request does not automatically cover both people.

Each neighbor should check their own New Hampshire voter information, since nearby homes can still be assigned to different polling places. If dispatch confirms a shared pickup, follow that; if it confirms separate rides, each voter follows their own confirmation.

Booking rides for two neighbors on the same road

Booking a ride and registering to vote go through separate offices. Ride to the Polls arranges transport; your New Hampshire town or city clerk and the Secretary of State look after registration.

New Hampshire voters who still need to register, or who want voter registration information, can start at Register to Vote. The Secretary of State voter lookup then shows whether you are registered and where your polling place is.

Each Upper Valley town keeps its own voter checklist. In Lebanon, Claremont and Newport the city or town clerk handles registration locally, and in smaller towns such as Enfield, Lyme or Plainfield the town clerk and Supervisors of the Checklist do the same. Check the official page for your town for what you need.

If you moved between Upper Valley towns, or across the river from Vermont, check your New Hampshire registration before you book, so your ride goes to the right polling place.

Voter registration on the New Hampshire side of the Upper Valley

A clear plan keeps a regional ride simple. Before November 3:

Confirm your New Hampshire voter registration.

Use the New Hampshire voter lookup, not a Vermont one.

Save your current polling place address.

Decide exactly where you will wait for pickup.

Call 833-603-8683 or submit Request Your Free Ride Online

Wait for dispatch to confirm your track.

Review your pickup window before Election Day.

Keep 833-603-8683 handy in case anything changes.

The Plan to Vote tool can hold the whole plan in one place.
