Chamber of Origin: SenateRemoves legal protections for librarians, making them criminally liable if they provide minors with materials deemed harmful under Georgia law. Currently, librarians are exempt from prosecution under obscenity laws, but this bill eliminates that protection. If passed, librarians could face charges unless they can prove they made a good-faith effort to restrict minors’ access to explicit content.1
